Our Employees Are Our Greatest Asset
We expect our employees to support our mission and philosophy of care. CHS employees "go the extra mile" to bring happiness and comfort to their clients. CHS also invests highly in each employee. Unlike many in-home providers, CHS does not subcontract to outside agencies for caregivers. Every caregiver is hired by CHS through a careful interview and screening process. Applicants are interviewed by both a Nursing Supervisor and a Human Resource Specialist.
Screening consists of:
- Multiple Reference Checks (personal and work history)
- Credentials and Professional License Check
- Annual Motor Vehicle Check
- Annual Criminal Record Check
Bonds & Coverage
Every employee is Bonded and covered with Liability Insurance, Workers Compensation, and supplemental Auto Insurance.
Community Home Services conducts an eight-hour orientation session for new employees. During that time, we review our mission, philosophy of care, policies and procedures. Skills testing is also conducted by a Registered Nurse. Because CHS focuses on quality, safety and satisfaction; mandatory educational programs, performance appraisals, nurse supervisory visits, and telephone calls to clients and families are conducted on a regular basis.
